"The German film and television industry is an economic branch that is still facing vast inequalities in all technical and creative positions. Since 2018, I am combining my experience as a successful international cinematographer, mother and as a woman in a male-dominated field with Selena's expertise on organisational change and bias-aware working spaces. My goal is to make film schools, production companies, broadcasters etcetera more inclusive, innovative and bias aware. I wish for future creators in the creative industries to learn to appreciate different perspectives and diverse talents because a diverse and representative film-set is the key to moving pictures that surprise our audience and do not reproduce what is already in place."
